About Mrs. Newman

Hello!

I am so excited to get to be your new teacher and tell you a little bit about myself.

My name is Mrs. Newman. I taught 1st grade for four years at Bluffdale Elementary and Kindergarten for a year at Herriman Elementary, and a year at Oquirrh Elementary.  I have lived in 3 different states in the last 2 years and I am so excited to be back here in Utah, and here with you at Hayden Peak Elementary.

I have two little girls and a little boy that are lots of fun to play with and make me super happy.

I love to read and that means we will do a lot of it in our class. My favorite books are the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. I can't wait to share them with you. Reading a book can make you feel like you are somewhere far away on an adventure and I like adventures, don't you?

I like to listen to music, especially by The Piano Guys. Do you know who they are? Here's one of their silly videos for you to watch. It's my little girls' favorite.




My favorite foods are chicken tacos and salad. I like to color and pull weeds in the garden. I also like to sew and make things that are crafty. And guess what? I really love chocolate. Especially chocolate cake!
